The Story of Velur

From a noble house to a fragrance house.

Velur takes its name from a noble house in Southern France, where generations lived by tradition, order, and inheritance. Yet within that world lived a young woman whose passion was not drawn to the life around her, but to art, nature, and the emotions hidden within everyday moments. Away from the main house, she spent her time in a warm glass house hidden among the garden trees. There, she gathered flowers, fruits, herbs, and natural elements, arranging them as an artist would arrange colors on a canvas. Over time, her experiments evolved into fragrance recipes, each capturing a memory, a feeling, or a moment in time. For her, fragrance became more than scent. It became a language of memory, a way to preserve emotions, places, and experiences beyond the limits of time. Years later, her grandchildren rediscovered her fragrance formulas and handwritten notes, hidden within her diaries and behind the paintings she left behind. Inspired by her vision, they revived her creations and established Velur to bring her fragrances into the modern world. Today, Velur serves as a bridge between past and present, transforming inherited fragrance recipes into contemporary scent experiences for homes, hospitality destinations, commercial spaces, and modern interiors.

The Glass House

Where art became scent.

The glass house is the emotional origin of Velur.

It was the place where nature became her palette. Flowers, fruits, herbs, light, rain, warmth, and earth were no longer only elements of the garden. They became notes, memories, and invisible compositions.

This is where Velur's first language was born: fragrance as a way to give memory a form.

Philosophy

Scent as memory, presence, and atmosphere.

Velur believes fragrance is not only something you smell. It is something that changes how a space feels, how a moment is remembered, and how the air holds emotion.

A scent can make a room feel softer, warmer, brighter, deeper, calmer, or more alive.

For Velur, fragrance is an invisible layer of design.

The Revival

Brought back through generations.

Velur's recipes were not lost. They waited quietly through time.

Generations later, her grandchildren returned to them, not to copy the past, but to reimagine it for the homes, rituals, and interiors of today.

Velur is the revival of a house, a memory, and a language once written in scent.
